Once the form is submitted you will be prompted to schedule a consultation to discuss you projects and any questions you may have with one of our export coordinators if you would like to. Our staff is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
In the “Message” field, please provide a detailed description of your project. The more information you can provide, the better we will be able to help you meet your goals and complete your project.
If you have any additional information that you would like to share, please include it in the optional fields.
Once you have completed the form, click the “Submit” button and a confirmation message displaying a link to schedule your consultation. If you choose not to schedule a virtual meeting one of our staff will be reviewing your submission and reaching out the next business day.

Frequently asked questions :
What is the process to purchase and export straws to my country?
The first step purchase straws for export is to apply for an import permit with your country’s Ministry of Agriculture (if no bilateral agreement is currently in place between USA and your country). Please provide this permit and SMART will use this information to ensure all requirements are met and to apply for an export permit with the United States government. Once this permit is received the products can be shipped.
What countries can SMART export to?
We are currently certified by the USDA and approved to export to many countries including the European Union. Our standards follow the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) Terrestrial Animal Health Code and exceed most countries’ import quarantine and testing requirements. Please check with the desired import country’s Ministry of Agriculture to apply for an import permit. This permit will list the country’s specific quarantine and disease testing requirements for entry.
How much does it cost to ship imported products?
A shipping quote can be generated for the number of straws/embryos you would like to purchase to the City/State/Country of your choosing. This cost will include a tank (new and yours to keep), shipping costs, insurance for the shipment, and permit fees. Any customs or additional fees assessed by your government will not be included and be the responsibility of the purchaser.
How long will the process take?
If you would like to have a buck custom collected at our facility the testing process prior to collection takes ~60 days to complete (depending on lab used). Collection time can also vary depending on the number of units you are wanting to have collected and the fertility of your buck.
We have a variety of industry-leading meat and dairy bucks in stock and ready for immediate export. The processing time will vary depending on the time each government takes to process and issue import and export permits.
